C2C CC stands for Coast to Coast Climate Challenge.
It is a 6 year project on climate adaptation taking place in the period from 1st January 2017 to 31st December 2022. The project is supported by the EU LIFE IP programme by approx. DKK 52m and has a total budget of approx. DKK 90m. Besides, comes all the construction costs regarding the implementation of the many solutions developed during the project.
The Overall Objective
The project is lead by Central Denmark Region which in close collaboration with the other 31 partners and 19 supportive partners will work to create a climate resilient region by,
- formulating a joint long-term strategy among the local stakeholders, and by
- implementing the municipal climate adaptation plans targeted, as the necessary analyses and activities are coordinated, and by
- identifying and improving resources and capacities among citizens and municipalities, utilities and companies in the water trade.
The project is implemented in a row of (24) sub projects and cross-disciplinary activities. Various partners have brought sub projects into C2C CC.
